Job Brief:

• As a Pharmacy Technologist, you will work on various pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient assistance. Your role involves ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing and providing quality service to patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Receive and review prescription orders, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information. Count, measure, and package medications according to prescription orders and pharmacy protocols.
• Label and organize prescription medications and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies as needed, following pharmacy procedures. Compound medications, prepare sterile products, and assemble medication kits.
• Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy computer systems accurately and confidentially.
• Provide assistance and support to patients, answering questions about medications, dosage instructions, and potential side effects.
• Process insurance claims, billing, and payment transactions for prescription medications.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
• Adhere to pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures, including privacy and security protocols.
• Participate in training and continuing education programs to maintain knowledge and skills in pharmacy practice.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the pharmacy.

The Candidate:

• At least 3 years work experience in a fast-paced pharmacy.
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a reputable institution.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Great work attitude and aggressive with passion and drive for success.
