Pharmacist at R4Kenya

Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical products in Kenya, East Africa and whole Africa. They are seeking a very competent Pharmacist to join their team.

The following are the duties but not limited to:

• Monitor the quality and safety of a drug/Medication.
• Should have strong knowledge of legislation and professional code of practice.
• To be in-charge of ordering drugs/medication and pharmaceutical supplies.
• To be in-charge of quality testing and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Oversee proper storage and security of drugs and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Marketing, Sales and distribution of drugs and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Supply of prescribed drugs to customers.
• Registration of drugs with legal entity.
• Sourcing for drugs/Medication and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Reviewing prescribed drugs to ascertain needed ingredients and evaluate stability and safety of the same.  
• Keep record of stocks/ Inventory
• Assessing the strength or purity of medication.
• Monitor, review and evaluate the quality or effectiveness of drugs.
• Assist in the tendering process.
• Fill prescription.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
• Registration Certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
• Understanding of Quality Principles related to ISO 9001.
• Good stakeholder management and the ability to effectively collaborate across a global organization.
• Ability to influence, act as a change agent, build consensus and manage conflict in challenging situations.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
