Pharmacy Technician at Ital Global

Job purpose:

Pharmacy technician will work alongside the pharmacist to help and support patients and make sure they get the best care and will be responsible for the overall efficiency and safety of pharmacy operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collecting and recording accurate patient records, using technology to maintain inventory and place orders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with customers and answering their questions.
• Performing regularly scheduled inventory counts on specific medications, stocking inventory, labelling and checking for expired medications.
• Preparing and dispensing new prescription and refill requests for patients.
• Processing insurance claims.
• Preparing compounded medications using sterile and non-sterile processes.
• Filling automated dispensing machines.
• Repackaging of bulk medications.
• Supply medicines to patients, whether on prescription or over the counter.
• Provide information to patients and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or Clinical Medicine or any other related field.
• Must be a registered pharmacy technician with a valid practicing license.
• 2-3 years’ working experience in a busy hospital in the same role.
