Basic Salary Scale:  Ksh. 24,580 – Ksh. 32,760 p.m.                 (CSG 12)
 
Terms of Service:  Three (3) years contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance)  
 
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:- 

• a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade C (Plain) or its approved equivalent
• a Diploma in physiotherapy from a recognized institution; and
• should be registered with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities
 
This will be the entry grade into the Physiotherapists cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:- 

• managing neurological, orthopedic and trauma conditions.  
• identifying, assessing, and managing / rehabilitating different types of impairments.  
• using different types of modalities in management of different conditions.  
• compiling reports according to stipulated report guidelines. 
• safeguarding and ensuring maintenance of equipment and appliances. 
• any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
