Nairobi Muslim Academy was established by Nairobi Islamic Charitable Waqf in a bid to provide Muslims with access to education at different levels. Education in the Muslim Ummah has been wanting since the colonial period. The Muslim Ummah was discriminated and could only access Nonformal education, which was taught by the few Islamic Scholars. The Muslim community has therefore lagged behind and has not had adequate education up to date.
