Job Requirement

A person shall be qualified to be appointed as Principal Counsel Litigation and ADR if the person;

• Has satisfactorily served as an advocate of the High Court for at least five (5) years.
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution.
• Post-graduate Diploma from Kenya School of Government.
• Demonstrated Professional competence in work performance and results.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership skills, organization skills, ability to work under pressure.
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
• Possesses a valid practicing certificate.

Job Description

• Offering Legal Advice on Legal matters affecting the County.
• Handling prosecution court to protect the County’s interests in matters filed by and against the County.
• Preparation of briefs, opinions and legal instruments.
• Preparing affidavits/counter affidavits in Civil Proceedings by or affecting the County.
• Preparing and instituting matters in court on behalf of the County
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
