Principal Culture and Heritage Officer at Nairobi City County Public Service Board

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in any of the following fields: - Social Sciences, Anthropology Degree, Culture and heritage Management, Culture and Hospitality Management, Leisure Culture and Environment, Environmental Studies, Culture and Environment, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Attended a Management course lasting not less than 4 weeks from a recognized institution.
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
• Member of a recognized professional body relevant to the above requirements
• Must have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than 3 years in a related area.
• Demonstrate professional competency in work performance and result.
• Must satisfy requirement of Chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010.

Job Description

• Providing guidelines for Culture and heritage products development;
• Providing advice for development of Small and Medium Culture and heritage enterprises (SMCHE’s) and community based Culture projects;
• Preparing proposals for Culture promotion and marketing;
• Undertaking research and Culture intelligence surveys;
• Providing technical advice on issues related to Culture;
• Supervising activities on domestic Culture promotion;
• Liaising with Culture stakeholders on issues related to Culture;
• Analyzing reports on Culture facilities and service providers;
• Implementing bilateral and multilateral agreements and protocols in Culture and heritage sector.
