Principal Trade Development Officer at County Government of Nandi

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Implement the County and National trade policy;
• Facilitating trade promotion activities
• Coordinate all trade business and development services in the county.
• Supervise and coordinate field services and projects.
• Oversee technical services policy formulation and development and enforce trade and business development services.
• Provide consultancy and technical guidance on trade issues.
• Develop training programs on trade issues.
• Provision and support in respect of market linkages and access to finance for the micro, small and medium industries;
• Coordination and development of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in trade;
• Facilitation of the development and enforcement of market standards within the County in collaboration with the relevant institutions;

Requirements for appointment;

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Entrepreneurship or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Master’s Degree in the relevant field is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience and knowledge in a technical position in public service/ private sector in the relevant field.
