Procurement & Supplies Officer – Vacancy Code: PS 24 (1 Position)

The ideal candidate should be conversant with procurement processes, regulations, and supply chain management. Strong vendor negotiation skills, data analysis capabilities, and proficiency in procurement software are essential.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field with at least 10 years of procurement experience is required. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of post-training experience will also be considered.
• Membership in the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
• Professional certification in procurement such as CIPS or CPSP – K
• An in-depth knowledge of procurement processes, regulations, and supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team leadership and capacity building of the procurement team
• Draft, review and implement relevant policies and procedures
• Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts and agreements whilst ensuring that all contracts meet legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to procurement regulations and standards
• Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee supply chain management to ensure efficient operations.
