    Production Officer (Bindery)

    JOB LEVEL 6: HR PO -6-2020
     
    Reports to: Senior Production Officer
     
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   

    • Develop bindery schedules and ensure that they are followed;
    • Supervise all operations in the bindery section; 
    • Maintain records of quantities of products dispatched internally and externally; 
    • Ensure quality of work and meet customers’ expectations; 
    • Minimize wastage in all bindery operations. 
    • Formulate and set performance targets and supervise, coach and mentor staff for optimal performance outputs; 
    • Maintain plant resources to ensure optimal utilization levels
    • Manage machine preventive maintenance programs

     
    JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS) 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Printing Technology and Publishing or Its equivalent. 
    • Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Printing Technology or a relevant field from a recognized institution. 
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. 
    • Problem solving, analytical, leadership, decision making, integrity, good communication, organization and planning skills. 
    • A good team player maintains high work standards, reliable, easily adapts to new environments, pays attention to detail and self-motivated.

    Shortlisted candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 including; Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations; Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board; Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority; Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
