    Professor -Electrical and Electronics Engineering(Telecommunication Engineering)

    Job Summary

    • An earned Ph.D.in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized/accredited university;
    • At least three (3) years teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent and Research experience.
    • A minimum of sixty (60) equivalent publication points since attaining Associate Professorship or equivalent, of which at least forty (40) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
    • Supervised a minimum of five (5) postgraduate students to completion including at least two (2) at doctoral level.
    • Registered with the relevant professional body.
    • Attracted research or development funds as an associate professor or equivalent.
    • International authority on a specialist field, acknowledged for his/her contributions to the development of principles, practices and research in the field across international boundaries.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity (2010).
    • Fifteen (15) years of relevant working experience from a reputable institution.

    Responsibilities

    • Lecture planning, preparation and research.
    • Contact/teaching time with students.
    • Checking and assessing students' work.
    • Encouraging personal development via tutorial/pastoral work.
    • Invigilating examinations.
    • Attending staff meetings.

    Method of Application

    NB:

    1. Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer in Engineering and above MUST be Professional Practising Engineers registered with Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK) and Corporate Members of Institute of Engineers Kenya (IEK) as per Engineers Act,2011 Section 16 and Engineers rules 2019.
    2. Candidates applying for positions of Tutorial Fellows in Engineering MUST be registered Graduate Engineers with Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK) as stipulated under Section 18 of the Engineers Act 2011 and Engineers Rules 2019 and must be Graduate members of Institute of Engineers Kenya (IEK).
    3. Candidates applying for positions in Clothing and Textile Technology do not need to be registered with the Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK).
