The University of Nairobi is implementing a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project (USAID Fahari ya Jamii) to support implementation of the Kenya Health Partnerships for Quality Services (HIV, FP/RMNCAH, Nutrition and WASH) in Nairobi and Kajiado Counties. Job description
The overall function of this position is to ensure the development and implementation a range of behavioral change and mobilization in reaching the young key populations (15 -24 yrs.). The aim will be to improve access and uptake of quality health services in supported counties (10 counties) for the most pressing health issues. The program officer will work to ensure quality care for young key populations i.e., FSW, MSW, Transgender and MSM in the supported counties through the lift up intervention. The position will be based at the project’s main office in Nairobi with significant travel to supported counties and health facilities. The KP program officer will report to the KP/VMMC technical lead.
