Job Description
Overall job summary
This position is responsible for the support and implementation of reconciliation and integration programs in line with the mandate of The National Cohesion and Integration Commission
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the peace building & reconciliation programmes and projects;
- Collecting information on thematic issues particularly on peace building and conflict resolution;
- Taking part in organizing dialogue meetings, workshops and forums;
- Collecting and disseminating information on peace building and reconciliation;
- Collecting information on causes of conflicts, actors and other related issues
- Collecting and collating information for development of information education communication materials on peace building and reconciliation control in liason with other stakeholders; and
- Taking part in implementing peace building and reconciliation activities.
Job Specification
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies, Criminology, Sociology, Security Studies, International Relations and Diplomacy, Law, Conflict Resolution and Humanitarian Assistance, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
- Certificate in computer application skills.
Terms of service
The above position is permanent and pensionable based on satisfactory completion of the six (6) months’ probation period
Salary and allowances
Salary range : Ksh. 56,775 - 80,000
House allowance : Ksh. 28,000
Commuter allowance : Ksh. 10,000
Airtime allowance : Ksh. 1,500
