    Project Manager, Climate, Environment and Conflict

    Responsibilities:

    •  Serve as the primary point of contact in managing the day-to-day coordination of scheduling and activities related to Crisis Group’s Climate, Environment and Conflict workstream, including the piloting and implementation of a climate-security early warning system.
    •  Work across Crisis Group’s programs, advocacy, communications, and development departments, as well as with external partners, as necessary, to ensure streamlined planning, implementation and impact reporting of the early warning system and projects associated with it.
    •  Liaise with programmatic and advocacy colleagues to build and manage strategic partnerships with key technical and implementation partners from the UN and other multilateral agencies, humanitarian service providers, government ministries, and grassroots organisations, among others.
    •  Support the management of relationships with project donors, including by tracking and reporting on grant project performance measures and project accomplishments, as needed.
    •  Perform other duties as necessary to achieve the goals of the Climate, Environment and Conflict Project as well as those of the Future of Conflict program.

    Requirements include:

    •  At least five years of related work experience including in project and grant management and experience developing new processes and systems;
    •  Demonstrated interest in environmental science and climate change;
    •  Strong organisational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects;
    •  Proven track record of engaging diverse groups of stakeholders to co-develop solutions and creatively problem solve;
    •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong capacity for collaborative, effective teamwork in a fast-paced and often demanding environment;
    •  Strong English language and good knowledge of another UN language would be an advantage.
