The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded in 1956 that works in more than 30 countries throughout the world.
DRC Kenya will be implementing a new protection monitoring system implemented in all field offices. This role is responsible to ensure the quality of protection monitoring by overseeing and supporting incentive workers to identify and monitor their needs/risks and monitor any changes that affect the protection environment. The Protection Monitoring Officer will be responsible for planning and coordinating all protection monitoring – and working closely with the Protection Coordinator and Protection Team Leader to ensure that all staff have regular information around any emerging trends within the protection environment. The Protection Monitoring Officer will also be responsible for consolidating protection monitoring data – and working with the PIM/Advocacy Specialist to develop protection briefs. The Protection Monitoring Officers will be based in Dadaab and Kakuma, with possible travel to field offices within Kenya.
