Responsibilities

• Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
• Record health progress and report.
• Maintain control of drugs and medications.
• Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician’s written orders.
• Communicate effectively and function calmly in situations, which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
• Complete physical & mental health assessments.
• Develops care plans for patients, helping them be as independent as possible.
• Administer prescribed medications, making constant adjustments favorable to a patient's condition under the supervision of qualified medical staff.
• Observe and report behavioral changes and help patients improve their coping abilities.
• Works with patients’ families to help improve the patient’s abilities.

Qualifications

• Well-honed triaging, diagnostic, and clinical judgment capacities
• Resilience, immense empathy, and resolution
• Proven experience as a psychiatric nurse.
• One should have taken up a psychiatric nurse program.
