Job summary:

The successful candidates will support the Project construction manager in the planning and accompaniment of the works. He/She will work with other professionals to help build and maintain roads as well as finding new solutions to transport problems requirements and higher guidelines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support the project construction manager in the planning and accompaniment of the works
2. Assist in the preparation of the work plan
3. Prepare monthly reports of work
4. Design and improve road schemes
5. Maintain the road network
6. Plan and supervise projects
7. Review contract documents
8. Manage construction teams
9. Design and maintain structures
10. Experience in road structural drainage infrastructure
11. Supervise roadworks
12. Deal with stakeholders including clients, transport specialists and members of the public
13. Any additional duty that may deemed for the role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
3. Knowledgeable of the Equator Principles and the IFC Performance Standards
4. Experience dealing with stakeholders including clients, transport specialists and members of the public
5. Problem solver and excellent analytical skills
6. Strong Time Management skills
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to liaise and coordinate with others
8. Willing to travel within Kenya
9. Experience in Road construction is a MUST!
