Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as the finance director you will provide a step into a pivotal leadership role for the company where your expertise in financial management will drive our business towards innovative success and robust growth. This role demands a strategic thinker who is adept at overseeing comprehensive financial operations, from accounts receivable and payable to strategic financial planning and stakeholder management.
Key duties & responsibilities
Strategic Oversight: Direct the entire finance function, ensuring cohesive and strategic financial operations encompassing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting, providing analytical insights that support strategic decision-making.
Stakeholder Communication: Actively engage with investors, debt providers, and financial institutions to foster strong, productive relationships.
Audit and Compliance: Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, improving processes for maximum efficiency and risk mitigation.
Budget Management and Financial Forecasting: Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial forecasts and the development of strategies that align with business goals.
Cash Collection Efficiency: Improve processes for efficient cash collection and maximum cash utilization to optimize the company’s financial health.
Leadership and Team Development: Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Skills and qualifications
Educational and Professional Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
Experience Requirement: Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within a company known for its dynamic growth and scale-up phase.
Industry Experience: Proven capability in managing financial operations that span cross-border transactions, with a strong background in both product distribution and SaaS-based environments.
Skill Set: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with profound regulatory knowledge and proficiency in financial software and tools.
Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
