Quantity Surveyor at Superior Hotels Kenya

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing cost-effective project designs and construction solutions to ensure value for money.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for project planning and approval.
• Develop comprehensive project budgets, cost plans, and financial projections to guide execution.
• Support procurement processes by preparing tender documentation, pricing schedules, and evaluation reports.
• Evaluate supplier and contractor quotations and provide recommendations based on cost, quality, and compliance.
• Assist in negotiating prices, contractual terms, and procurement conditions to achieve optimal cost outcomes.
• Monitor and track project expenditures against approved budgets to ensure financial control.
• Identify cost overruns, budget variances, and financial risks, and recommend corrective corrective actions.

• Prepare weekly and periodic project reports detailing cost performance, budget utilization, commitments, and forecasts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Building Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction costing, or project cost management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management tools.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
