Quantity Surveyor at Uasin Gishu County Government

Requirement for appointment

• A Bachelors Degree in Quantity Survey or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
• Member of Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQs) Kenya.
• Expertise in building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Must be computer literate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop bill of quantities (BOQ) for new projects for contract documentation.
• Conduct assessment of property, buildings for the purpose of maintenance, repair, upgrading or demolition.
• Supervise projects and value works for purposes of payments.
• Supervise construction works and prepare measurement of on-going works.
• Prepare estimates and budgets for new projects.
• Valuation of projects for the purpose of payment, claims, acquisition, litigation or any other government purpose.
• Prepare contract documents, procurement plans, budgets, work plans.
• Perform risk analysis evaluation and appraisals.
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
