    Receptionist

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies, Health Records, Customer Service, Front Office Operations, or any related field
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a busy Level 4 hospital setting (MUST have experience)
    • Strong customer service and patient handling skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage high patient flow in a busy clinical environment
    • Proficiency in computer applications and hospital management systems will be an added advantage
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to handle patients and relatives with professionalism, empathy, and patience
    • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism

    Key Responsibilities

    The successful candidates will be expected to:

    • Receive and attend to patients, visitors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner
    • Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and front desk coordination
    • Direct patients appropriately to consultation rooms, departments, or services
    • Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and hospital communication channels efficiently
    • Ensure accurate patient data entry and updates in the hospital management system
    • Support billing processes and guide patients on payment procedures where necessary
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area at all times
    • Coordinate patient flow to reduce waiting time and improve service efficiency
    • Provide general administrative and clerical support to hospital departments as required
    • Uphold confidentiality, patient dignity, and hospital service standards at all times
