Narok County Government was formed by the County Governments Act of 2012 as prescribed in the 2010 Constitution of Kenya. It is one of the 47 devolved units situated in the Great Rift Valley in the Southern part of the Country where it boarders the republic of Tanzania. Narok County has its headquarters in Narok Town, off Narok Nakuru Road. Narok County comprises of six (6) sub-counties namely: Narok North, Narok West, Narok East, Narok South, Transmara East and Transmara West.
Duties and Responsibilities This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve: taking history, examining, diagnosing; interpreting laboratory and imaging results; treating patients’ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility; implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health workers; guiding and counselling patients, clients and staff on health issues; sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health; referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities; providing clinical outreach and school health services; carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill; collecting and compiling clinical data; and assessing, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports
