    Registered Nurses

    Job Summary

    For appointment to this grade, an officermust have:-

    • Diploma in any of the following disciplines:Kenya Registered CommunityHealth Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery,Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery or KenyaRegistered Nursing/MentalHealth and Psychiatry from a recognizedinstitution;
    • Registration Certificate issued by the NursingCouncil of Kenya;
    • Valid practising license from Nursing Councilof Kenya
    • Computer knowledge.

    Responsibilities

    • Assessing, planning, implementing nursinginterventions and evaluating patient's outcomes;
    • Providing appropriate healthcare serviceincluding Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT,
    • Ante-natal care and delivery, providinghealth education and counselling topatients/clients and community on identifiedhealth needs;
    • Referring patients and clientsappropriately, facilitating patients' admissionand initiating discharge plans;
    • Maintaining records on patients/clients healthcondition and care, ensuring a tidy and safeclinical environment, collecting and compilingdata.

    • Hand delivered applications forms should be submitted in a sealed envelope and the vacancy number clearly marked on the left hand-side the post applied for and delivered at the Meru County Public Service Board Offices situated at the NEW COUNTY GOVERNMENT BUILDING (FORMERLY COUNTY HOTEL) First floor right wing.
