Roles/tasks of the RAs

The main tasks of the RAs will include:

• Fully participate in the RAs training on the survey
• Conducting community quantitative data collection and KIIs with relevant stakeholders and approved research protocols as per CISP Kenya SOPs.
• Report comprehensive findings through digitized forms.
• Payment
• The Research Assistant (RA) will be paid a daily stipend based on approved completed interviews, which will be paid after completing all the assigned tasks.
• Transport and accommodation
• CISP and PGI will provide transport for the recruited RAs to the training and during fieldwork within Tana River sub-County. Accommodation and meals will be provided when and where needed including during the training.

Eligibility Requirements:

• At least a diploma in social studies or development studies
• Experience in quantitative data collection and in research activities involving communities.
• Experience in data collection using mobile based applications
• Interest and ability to work with different stakeholders (community members, Children, civil society, government officials etc.)
• Available during the month of July (exact timeline to be confirmed)
• Must be from the target sub-county (Tana River Sub-County)
• Proficient user of the Microsoft Office package
• Good communication skills in English, Swahili and the local language in the target sub-counties
• Able to work independently and in a team.
