    Roster of National Consultants for Loss and Damage, Global Programme Division

    Key responsibilities

    • To ensure this work is informing and informed by the intergovernmental process
    • Work to strengthen national reporting and monitoring systems, integrating age-disaggregated data sources and systems and child-sensitive indicators. This includes leveraging the Global Children Hazard Database and promoting its uptake with governments and embedding within national loss and damage policies.
    • Contribute to trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions for UNICEF staff and partners, including regular updates to UNICEF HQ, CoEs and COs.
    • Loss and Damage interventions are highly context-specific and require a country-led, country-owned approach. For this reason, locally based consultants are best positioned to deliver this support, leveraging their knowledge of national systems, priorities, and languages to facilitate a bottom-up process for FRLD proposal development.
