    Sales Engineer

    As a Sales Engineer in REDA Chemicals’ Home and Personal Care business unit, you will be responsible for driving strategic sales growth and strengthening our presence in the cosmetics and consumer products market across Kenya. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong commercial skills, enabling you to effectively promote our portfolio of specialty raw materials and active ingredients while identifying new business opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the strategic positioning and competitive sales development of chemicals for cosmetics and consumer products.
    • Develop and implement business development strategies to capture new customers and expand market share.
    • Prepare and manage sales budgets and periodic forecasts.
    • Negotiate pricing with customers to achieve optimal profitability.
    • Monitor stock orders, manage customer relationships, and ensure timely delivery to warehouses.
    • Conduct regular client visits and acquire new customers each month to boost turnover and ROI.
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide market analysis, identify trends, and propose innovative product ideas to enhance business strategy.
    • Organize and conduct product trials with customers, recommending appropriate application rates and methods to maximize cost-effectiveness.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
    • 3-4 years of sales experience in the Home and Personal Care industry, including selling raw materials and active ingredients with strong technical knowledge.
    • Strong sales mindset and market orientation
    • Excellent command of the English language
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
