School Fleet Manager at Reeds Africa Consult

Job Description

• Oversee the day-to-day management of all school vehicles (buses, vans, and staff vehicles)
• Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, serviced, and compliant with regulatory requirements
• Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and repairs 
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, fuel usage, and inspections
• Supervise and manage school drivers, including scheduling and performance monitoring
• Ensure adherence to road safety and student transport policies 
• Coordinate transportation logistics for daily routes, school trips, and events
• Monitor fuel consumption and control operational costs
• Investigate and report accidents or incidents involving school vehicles
• Ensure all licenses, insurance, and inspection certificates are up to date 

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in fleet management or transport coordination 
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to supervise and manage staff effectively
• Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting
