    School Principal

    This is a strategic leadership role, suitable for a passionate educationist with a proven track record of successful school leadership and performance management.

    Minimum Qualifications and Professional Requirements:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field from a recognized institution
    • A Master’s Degree in Education Management, Leadership, or Curriculum Studies is a strong advantage
    • TSC Registration is mandatory
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior school leadership position (e.g., Deputy Principal, Headteacher, Director of Studies)
    • Demonstrated experience in teaching under the CBC curriculum.
    • Must be a certified trainer or demonstrate capacity to train, mentor, and develop staff
    • Proficient in the use of ICT for learning, teaching, administration, and data analysis
    • Strong knowledge of Performance Management Systems (PMS) and evidence-based academic monitoring
    • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, school improvement planning, and resource management
    • Knowledge of Kenyan education regulations, including TSC and Ministry of Education guidelines
    • Experience in leading whole-school assessments, curriculum implementation, and learner support programs
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and inspire a high-performing team
    • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to inclusive and equitable education

    Key Responsibilities:

    As the Principal of Swaminarayan Academy Embakasi, your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

    Strategic Leadership & Governance

    • Provide visionary leadership aligned with the school’s mission, values, and strategic goals
    • Collaborate with the School Director, Board of Governors, and leadership team on institutional planning and development
    • Ensure effective governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

    Academic and Curriculum Oversight

    • Oversee curriculum implementation across all sections, with a strong focus on CBC alignment
    • Lead academic performance tracking, assessments, and intervention programs to meet school targets
    • Support differentiated teaching, special needs inclusion, and learner-centred pedagogies

    Staff Management & Development

    • Lead recruitment, mentorship, and continuous professional development of teaching and non-teaching staff
    • Supervise performance reviews through the Performance Management System (PMS), goal setting, and accountability structures
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among all staff members

    Learner Welfare & Discipline

    • Uphold high standards of learner behaviour, safeguarding, and well-being
    • Guide the implementation of learner support systems, career guidance, and psychosocial services
    • Champion a positive school culture that promotes character development and life skills

    Parent and Community Engagement

    • Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the school community
    • Promote open communication, parent education forums, and community-based programs
    • Represent the school in external engagements and stakeholder meetings

    Administration & Operations

    • Ensure the efficient running of the school’s daily operations
    • Supervise budgeting, procurement, and resource utilization
    • Oversee infrastructure maintenance, safety protocols, and administrative compliance
