ROLE SUMMARY

• We seek a skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating the Scrum process, ensuring that the team adheres to Agile principles, and continuously improving team performance. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and the ability to drive project success.

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The day-to-day duties and marks of success will include:

• Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Guide the Team: Ensure the team understands and follows Agile principles and Scrum framework. Guide Agile practices and methodologies.
• Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles or impediments preventing the team from achieving their goals.
• Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating team retrospectives and implementing action items.
• Shield the Team: Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions to maintain focus and productivity.
• Foster Collaboration: Promote a collaborative team environment where open communication, constructive feedback, and a focus on collective success are prioritized.
• Track and Communicate Progress: Monitor team performance metrics, track progress, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Coach and Mentor: Provide coaching and mentoring to team members on Agile best practices and help them to grow in their roles.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with product owners, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven Experience in a scrum master role.
• 3+ years of project management.
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artefacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
• Familiarity with software development.
• Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP etc.)
• Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Scrum master certification is a plus
