    Senior Assistant Registrar (Human Resource)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinate Human Resource policies and guidelines in liaison with the management to inform decisions in human resource
    • Coordinate raining and Development of various departmental heads through workshops to ensure they are equipped with the right skills.
    • Oversee the departmental expenditure through reviewing and authorizing transactions to ensure prudent use of departmental
    • Coordinate the implementation of performance appraisal process to institute proper rewards and sanctions in order to motivate employees and improve
    • Oversee professional human resource management standards to ensure compliance with legal and statutory regulations.
    • Coordinate budgeting, allocation and optimal utilization of training resources and opportunities to motivate, retain and improve employee
    • Ensure compliance with all the statutory and regulatory requirements relating to Human Resource to reduce litigations
    • Coordinates Compensation and staff motivation, monitor coordinate and implement human resource management policies, rules and regulations to ensure compliance by

    • Undertake organizational development and job reviews to ensure proper placement, improved productivity and organizational

    • Advise the management on human resource needs of the University towards achieving optimal personnel capacity to effectively pursue the University’s
    • Undertake skills gaps analysis of the University and identify areas that need attention and improvement to ensure the University personnel have the appropriate
    • Advise on human resource planning and succession management to ensure continuity of services to internal and external customers.
    • Advise on career development and review of Career Progression Guidelines to ensure staff are
    • Advise on labour laws and other statutes that impact on human resource in the University to ensure compliance and avoid potential litigation.

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

    • Served in the grade of Assistant Registrar for a minimum period of three (3)
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant
    • Master’s degree in relevant field.
    • Member IHRM
    • Certificate in Computer Applications skills from a recognized institution and (vi)Demonstrate merit and ability as reflected in work performance and
