Senior Associate - Tax at PKF firms

PKF Taxation Services Limited seeks to recruit a dynamic, driven and dedicated professional to join its team as a Senior Associate

Job Description:

• Review tax returns and computations prepared by our audit teams
• Be the go-to person for auditors when they have tax questions, helping them navigate tricky areas with confidence
• Keep tabs on changes in Kenyan tax laws
• Provide on-the-job training and occasional tax briefings to audit staff — helping build up their confidence and technical skills
• Support with tax filings and assist with any i-Tax related issues
• Help improve how we handle tax internally — from reviewing processes to updating templates and guides
• Work closely with the tax team and leadership to maintain quality and consistency in all our tax-related work
• Assist with training of junior staff and audit teams
• Assist with client tax audits, respond to KRA queries, and support tax health checks and ad hoc advisory matters

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• CPA (Kenya) qualified
• At least 2 years of solid tax experience from a reputable audit or tax firm
• A good grasp of Kenyan tax laws, and hands-on experience with tax compliance
• Someone who is comfortable reviewing work and giving constructive feedback
• A clear communicator who’s confident explaining tax matters to non-tax people
• Well-organized and able to manage several tasks and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with iTax
