Job Requirement

A person shall be qualified for appointment as Counsel if; -

• They possess Bachelor of Law degree (LLB) from a recognized institution.
• They are an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing.
• Must have served satisfactorily as an Advocate of the High Court for at least four (4) years.
• They demonstrate professional competence in work performance and results.
• They possess excellent leadership skills, ability to work under pressure.
• They Meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

Job Description

• Interpreting the Constitution statutes and subsidiary legislation for the County Government department entities.
• Conducting research for the County Government and its entities on various challenges encountered in the implementation of their legal mandate.
• Offering legal advice on legal issues affecting the County.
• Preparation of legal opinions
• Preparing legal briefs.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
