Senior Data Analyst at Pula

What you will be doing: 

• We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to analyze complex data sets, and the capability to derive actionable insights that solve business problems. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for data-driven problem solving.

Terms of Reference

Problem Solving:

• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address business challenges.
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve business processes and outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.

Process Improvement:

• Evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Design and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor the impact of implemented solutions and adjust as necessary. 

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

• Collect, process, and analyze large data sets using statistical techniques.
• Interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data to support business objectives.

Data Management and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various data sources.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes.
• Maintain and update databases and data systems as necessary.
• Ensure creation/ updation of SOPs

Reporting and Visualization:

• Create comprehensive reports and data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards and automated reporting tools to facilitate data accessibility and understanding.
• Present analytical results in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience in problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel.
• Strong technical skills on GIS tools (QGIS and ArcGis)
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing.

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work with large and complex data sets.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts.
• Working Conditions:
• Full-time position.
• Office-based or remote work options available.
• Occasional travel may be required for meetings and conferences.
