Bachelor's degree in fire science, fire engineering, public administration, Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Occupational Health, and safety disciplines, or its recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institute
Certificate in Fire Engineering, Incident Command Systems course, and Fire prevention.
Served satisfactorily as Fire Officer 1 and above for at least two (2) years.
Shown merit and ability in work performance and results.
Job Description
Coordinate and manage on-site operations.
Communicate effectively with other emergency services (police, medical, etc.) to ensure coordinated response efforts.
Ensure that the crew is prepared, well-trained, and adequately equipped for all emergency incidents.
Conduct fire safety inspections of buildings, facilities, and public spaces to identify potential hazards.
Assist with implementing fire prevention programs,and educating the public and businesses on fire safety practices.
Ensure the timely maintenance, inspection, and servicing of firefighting apparatus, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other emergency response tools.
Conduct risk assessments for fire and rescue operations, identifying potential dangers and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
Investigate incidents to determine causes, contributing factors, and lessons learned for future improvements.
Support recovery efforts by assessing damage, managing logistics, and ensuring the safety of first responders.
Complete and submit incident reports, performance evaluations, and other documentation as senior officers require.
