Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Possess at least two (2) Professional certifications in service management for example, ITIL or equivalent.
Be a member of a recognized professional body
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
A course in senior management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Served for a minimum of three (3) years at the grade of ICT Officer I (Data Centre (DC) Engineer, System Administrator, Network Engineer), JSG 5 or in a comparable position.
Experience in the IT / IS infrastructure, operating systems, configurations and the IT applications and service processes.
Proficient in understanding infrastructure architecture, the frameworks and principles on which networks, systems, equipment and resources are based, both on premises and cloud-based; and
Proficient in understanding the principles and application of cloud/ virtualization (including ownership, responsibilities and security implications) and the use of tools and systems to manage virtualized environments. Examples, but not limited to: Server/desktop virtualization and SDDC (Software Defined Data Centre).
