    Assistant Director, ICT (Court Support Systems)

    Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    • For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
    • Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
    • Possess at least one (1) technical certification in ICT Networks, Hardware or project management.
    • Member of a recognized professional body.
    • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
    • A course in senior management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

    Experience:

    • Served a minimum of three (3) Years’ at the grade of Senior ICT Officer JSG 4  or in a comparable position.
    • Have experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
    • Extensive experience in preparing RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution designs, with a strong working knowledge of vendor programs and the partner ecosystem.
    • Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
    • Must be a good mentor and coach.
    • Possess excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Proven experience managing and leading cross-functional teams. 
    • Strong project management skills.

    Senior ICT Officer, Data Centre Services

    Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
    • Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
    • Possess at least two (2) Professional certifications in service management for example, ITIL or equivalent.
    • Be a member of a recognized professional body
    • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
    • A course in senior management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

    Experience:

    • Served for a minimum of three (3) years at the grade of ICT Officer I (Data Centre (DC) Engineer, System Administrator, Network Engineer), JSG 5 or in a comparable position.
    • Experience in the IT / IS infrastructure, operating systems, configurations and the IT applications and service processes.
    • Proficient in understanding infrastructure architecture, the frameworks and principles on which networks, systems, equipment and resources are based, both on premises and cloud-based; and
    • Proficient in understanding the principles and application of cloud/ virtualization (including ownership, responsibilities and security implications) and the use of tools and systems to manage virtualized environments. Examples, but not limited to: Server/desktop virtualization and SDDC (Software Defined Data Centre).

    Senior ICT Officer, Database Administration

    Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -

    • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
    • Possess at least two (2) certifications in either Database Administration, Business analytics or equivalent.
    • Be a member of a recognized professional body
    • Management of ICT projects.
    • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
    • Possess a Course in Senior Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution

    Experience:

    • Served for a minimum of three (3) years at the grade of ICT Officer I (Infrastructure, Database, Systems), JSG 5 or in a comparable position. 
    • Experience of at least 3 years of software Full Stack development experience that includes managing software projects through the entire software lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, implementation, deployment, post-deployment support).
    • Knowledge/experience working in System Administration, Network Administration, Datacenter Services or ICT Project Management is imperative.
    • Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB.
    • Experience with database programming languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, or JDBC.
    • Experience with data modelling, schema design, and normalization.
    • Experience with backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery technologies.
    • Experience with database security and access control.
    • Experience with Database load balancing, performance tuning and optimisation; and 
    • ERP deployment and support will be an added advantage.

    ICT Officer I, ICT Security

    Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -

    • Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;

    • Demonstrated competency in the implementation and administration of various security tools such as Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web application firewalls, Anti-DDOS, Antivirus, DLP.
    •  Deployment of Cisco and or Fortinet security solution will be an added advantage.

    • Proven track record in risk assessment, risk management procedures, security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
    • Extensive experience in preparing RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution designs, with a strong working knowledge of vendor programs and the partner ecosystem.
    • Expertise in cloud architecture, associated security challenges, and vendor-provided security solutions.

    • Have experience with performance tuning and capacity planning for virtual environments.
    • Familiarity with ICT security best practices for virtualization.
    • Understanding of licensing and regulatory compliance related to virtualized systems.
