    Senior ICT Officer

    Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).

    Academic qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology (BBIT),Information Technology or equivalent degree from a recognized university

    Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

    Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or possess any of the followingCertifications; Cisco Certified Network Professional; Certified Data Centre Professional;Red Hat/Unix/Linux Certified Systems Administrator, Database Administratorcertifications.

    Previous relevant work experience required.

    5 years of service or similar experience in a comparable position in a reputableorganization

    This position is responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting complex

    operating and server-based systems, tracking and maintaining technology systemsensuring that IT systems and services are available and delivered consistently, reliably,and effectively.

    Key Responsibilities/ Duties / TasksI. Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities

    1. Develops Service Management and IT Security policies standards and ensurescompliance as appropriate.
    2. Advices on the design of OCOBs infrastructure components based on informationregarding the business context and standards
    3. Ensures documentation of systems configuration and procedures to enhanceknowledge-sharing and transfer.
    4. Drafts service level agreements and operational guidelines for internal andexternal service providers.
    5. Produces guidelines for county offices based on OCOB standards and industrybest practices.
    6. Designs ICT activities and workflow tools required for IT services management,maintenance, monitoring and performance measurement.
    7. Evaluates business processes and provides advice on applicable solutions.h) Develops functional specifications, standards, and requirements for hardware andsoftware purchase.
