    Senior Lecturer (Hospitality Management)

    Ref: MNUC/A/13/2023
    QUALIFICATION

    • An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Hospitality Management from an accredited and recognized University;
    • Applicants must be holders of a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited and recognized University in the area of specialty;
    • At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level as a Lecturer or research/ industry experience;
    • A minimum of thirty two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
    • Must have successfully supervised at least three (3) post-graduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;
    • Must be a member of a relevant professional body; and
    • Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching;
    • Evidence of the ability to attract research funding is an added advantage;
    • Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops

    Method of Application

    TERMS OF SERVICE

    • For teaching positions above Tutorial Fellow, employment will be on permanent and pensionable terms.
    • Tutorial Fellows are employed on one (1) year renewable contract to a maximum of three (3) years.
    • Appointed candidates will be remunerated as per the Inter Public University Councils Consultative Forum (IPUCCF) and CBA 2017- 2021 Approved Salary Rates.

    Applicants with certificates from foreign Universities should provide the translated/equated version from the Commission for University Education.
    Copies of certificates and testimonials should also be enclosed giving the names and addresses of three (3) referees who are conversant with the applicant’s competence in the area of specialization.
