Senior Planning Officer - 1 Post at National Research Fund

• This position is responsible for supporting in Planning, Monitoring and Evaluating projects and programmes of the Fund to ensure that quality data is generated, reporting and dissemination is done timely and accurately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing reports on National Research Fund Projects;
• Analyzing and compiling data on National Research Fund;
• Maintaining and updating data on the Funded projects;
• Preparing reports on the status of implementation of National Research Fund projects;
• Preparing briefs and speeches on National Research Fund programmes;
• Preparing reports on the status of implementation of National Research Fund programmes;
• Maintaining and updating records for National Research Fund Projects implementation;
• Advise management on all projects issues in the Fund;
• Assist in developing of monitoring and evaluation tools for the projects;
• To ensure prudent utilization of Projects funds;
• Preparing concept notes and proposals for resource mobilization;
• Prepare and Submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual organisational project report to the CEO;
• Advise management on all projects issues in the Fund;
• Preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Fund’s;

Job Requirements /Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy; Statistic, Mathematics;
• Strategic Management, Public Administration, Project planning and Management or related disciplines;
• At least four (4) years relevant work experience in Public Service or Private Sector;
• Membership to a relevant and accredited professional body in good standing;
• Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks;
• Proficiency in computer applications
