Dutes and Responsbltes.

An offcer at ths level wll be responsble to the Chef Offcer for plannng, drectng, controllng and coordnatng techncal and admnstratve actvtes of water and sewerage systems n the county.
Dutes and Responsbltes wll ental:- Partcpatng n preparaton of Professonal and Qualty Standards for constructon of water supply and sewerage nfrastructure; Overseeng the constructon of water and sewerage works drectly or by contract; formulatng, montorng and evaluatng requrements of physcal and fnancal progress of development projects and programs; verfyng techncal tender documents on water supply and sewerage nfrastructure; formulatng water prcng polces and strateges for rural, urban and waste water systems,; and lasng wth development partners and other stakeholder n the water sector for effectve formulaton; plannng; coordnaton and mplementaton of projects and programs.
n addton, the offcer wll be responsble for developng and mplementng strategc and work plans; budgetng for the development and deployment, tranng and development of staff n the development; Any other dutes as assgned

Requrements for appontment.

For appontment to ths grade, an offcer must:-

• Have served n the grade of Prncpal Superntendng Engneer (water and sewerage) or comparable and relevant poston n the publc servce or equvalent for at least three 3 years.
• Be n possesson of a Bachelor of Scence degree n Cvl/ Water Engneerng/ or equvalent from a recognzed nsttuton.
• Masters Degree n Cvl/ Water Engneerng or equvalent from a recognzed nsttuton wll be an added advantage.
• Be regstered/regstrable by Engneers Board of Kenya (EBK)/ Kenya Technologsts Regstraton Board (KETRB).
• A member of a Professonal body n good standng.
• Have attended a strategc leadershp development course n lastng not less than sx (6) weeks or equvalent management tranng from a recognzed nsttuton.
• Have certfcate n computer applcatons;
• Have demonstrated general admnstratve ablty requred for drecton, control and mplementaton of and projects.
• Demonstrated the sklls, capacty and ablty for resource moblzaton
• Any other assgnment as servce demands
