    Senior Product Owner

    Key Responsibilities

    • The Product Owner works with the teams to translate features from the Product Manager into stories, including agreed acceptance criteria, business benefits and measurable outcomes
    •  Defining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for different use cases/scenarios of solutions.
    • Prioritising requirements based on business benefits and managing product backlog, including backlog grooming.
    • Looking for opportunities to innovate within their scope of work to ensure that proposed solutions are able to compete in the market.
    • Ensuring that platforms/features which are available to customers are performing as defined in the relevant SLAs and nonfunctional requirements.
    • Clearly articulating and communicating platform/feature roadmap to stakeholders.
    • Identifying, creating and communicating business benefits and tracking and reporting on progress.
    • Active involvement in team and program meetings, feature writing (if required), Product Increments (PI) planning, all team sessions, including daily standups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, sprint planning and backlog refinement, Product Owner syncs, and Program syncs on the program level (if required).
    • Work closely with the Scrum Master to ensure that all the prerequisites for PI planning are
    • completed and teams are prepared in advance for the PI planning sessions.
    • Driving iterative releases/business value delivery through Product Increments (PI).
    • Ensuring alignment between work delivered and Product Managers expectations as defined in the feature statements.
    • Contributing to the vision and strategy. While this is mainly the Product Manager’s responsibility, the Product Owner may be required to be involved.
    • Writing and prioritising features with acceptance criteria to guide the team and align stakeholders in the longterm and the shortterm product roadmap.
    • Understanding and be actively involved in removing impediments to team performance that are raised by either the Scrum Master or team.
    • Effectively communicate risks to stakeholders.
    • Communicating and aligning with other Product Owners when interteam dependencies and tradeoffs are required to be solved.
    • Making day to day decisions that will guide and improve the team’s delivery.
    • Driving the understanding of customers and business needs and ensuring execution of the respective plans.
    • Actively driving the Go to Market process in the team.
    • Reporting on progress of deliverables and benefits and outcomes.
    • Working closely with the team to prepare for and lead demos to stakeholders.
    • Working with the team and service manager to ensure that all production issues and escalations are closed out timeously.
    • Actively collaborating with the Product Manager and adoption team to drive active engagement targets linked to work in their space.
    • Reporting and tracking customer experience and performance measures for the platform/feature.
    • Actively track customer and platform measures and ensure that issues are remediated through the continuous delivery process. Use data to from multiple sources to be able to prioritise changes
    • Be able to respond quickly to customer feedback by driving these changes with the teams
    • Work across multiple teams to coordinate delivery efforts and business outcomes

    QUALIFICATIONS AND ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    • To be successful in this role, you need to have:
    • A minimum of 5 years in business analysis, systems analysis, process analysis, product owner roles, user experience design or project management experience is required.
    • Working experience within SAFe/scaled Agile teams.
    • Relevant work experience in financial services/banking/fintech preferred, other tech i.e.: telco will be considered.
    • A technical degree in commerce, computer science, information systems, user experience,
    • engineering, or related field.
    • SAFe Product Owner certification preferred
    • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile (SAFe) etc.
