Senior Risk & Compliance Associate at Sendyit

Directly accountable to the Audit, Risk and Compliance Manager you'll be supporting the day-to-day compliance, governance, and risk management functions. The role will include primary responsibility for defining, creating and managing organizational policies and standards in support of legal and regulatory compliance needs as well as supporting implementation of Enterprise Risk Management across the organization

You will be responsible for:

• Lead the business to identify and measure possible, strategic,financial and operational risks facing the organization and work closely with them to employ appropriate risk treatment strategies while keeping the senior leadership team appraised.
• Perform business impact analysis and assess new and existing systems, policies and processes
• Collaborate to define processes, standard, controls and develop supporting organizational policies.
• Work with various business units to ensure controls are adequate, appropriate, and effective.
• Develop and maintain a catalogue the group policy and version control system to ensure easy availability of tracked policies
• Support internal and external audit processes/ assessments for relevant compliance concerns.
• Recognize, assess and communicate important policy issues to stakeholders.
• Assess availability of adequate administrative and organizational tasks & structures to support the effective application of policies.
• Perform periodic assessments to validate risk and compliance on an ongoing basis.
• Regular horizon scanning to stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns, trends and other emerging risks.
• Contribute to the development of customer-facing materials covering topics related to security, privacy, and compliance features of our products and services.
• Prepare training materials on Key Risk and Compliance areas and through the available platforms roll out and track progress on the training.
• Proactive monthly engagement with senior management on key Risk and compliance exposures  related to internal controls, compliance, and/or governance requiring prompt attention  and as well as consolidated  quarterly reporting.

• Bachelors’ degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics or finance from a reputable university
• Professional certification in Risk management from Institute of Risk Management (UK), Financial Risk Management(FRM), Chartered Risk Analyst (CRA) ,or Governance Risk and Compliance management (GRCM) will be an added advantage
• Minimum 5 Years of relevant work experience in Risk and Compliance management
• Experience working in a tech environment enforcing policies and procedures.
• Logistics experience will be an added advantage.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and risk awareness.
• Strong risk & quantitative analysis, organizational and interpersonal skills.
