Senior Superintending Engineer (Structural) at Nakuru County Government

Requirements for appointment

• Served in the grade of Superintending Engineer (Structural) or comparable and relevant position in the public service for at least three (3) years;
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution; 
• Been Registered with the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB); 
• A Current valid annual Practicing license from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
• Corporate membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK); 
• Attended a Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution; 
• Demonstrated general administrative ability required for direction, control and implementation of structural programmes; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Planning structural design for buildings;
• Civil and marine works and other structures;
• Supervision of construction works;
• General administration of projects;
• Preparation of tender documents and cost estimates of civil, structural and marine works; and
• Supervision of structural staff in the sub county.
