SENIOR WARD ADMINISTRATOR /SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICER JOB GROUP “L” (CPSB 08) EIGHT (8) POSTS

Reports to Deputy Director Administration Services/ Sub-County Administrator

Duties and responsibilities

The Officer will perform the following duties and responsibilities at the ward level

• Overseeing transport management;
• Planning and coordinating office accommodation;
• Facilitating meetings, conferences and other special events;
• Supervising provision of security and office services;
• Supervising records management and support services within the ward;
• Handling public concerns and issue;
• Managing utilities and office accommodation;
• Managing of premises, assets and insurance policies;
• Facilitating citizen participation in development activities;
• Handling occupational health and safety issues;
• Facilitating mobilization of resources at the local level;
• Collecting and collating data of developmental activities;
• Disseminating information to the public;

Requirements for Appointment

The officer must have:-

• Served satisfactorily in the grade of Administration Officer I or its equivalent for a minimum period of Three (3) years;
• Bachelor’s Degree in the following disciplines: - Public Administration, Business Administration / Management, Community Development, or any other Social Sciences from a recognized institution;

OR

• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Public Administration, Business Administration / Management, Community Development, or any other Social Sciences from a recognized institution;
• Administrative Officers examination (PSCK) will be an added advantage;
• Certificate course in computer application from a recognized institution;
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
