Service Technician - Electronics at Davis & Shirtliff Group

The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of water and energy solutions in the region. The group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, DRC and Zimbabwe. The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks to fill the position of Electronics Service Technician.

Reporting to the Service Manager, Nairobi Office, the Electronics Service Technician, will be responsible for achievement of the following key tasks;

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring and electronic circuit boards for equipment.
• Installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment including instrumentation, smart pumps, solar inverters and IoT gateways
• Product performance verification and validation.
• Track and document equipment issues and initiate root cause analysis.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Holder of Diploma/HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or closely related field from a recognized institution.
• 2 years’ experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems.
• Understanding of digital electronics, electrical drawings and experience in board-level repairs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
