Job Summary:

The County Public Service Board Wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons on permanent and pensionable terms to fill the following positions in the department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.

Duties And Responsibilities:

This is the entry and training grade into this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior. Duties and responsibilities will entail;

• inspecting development of irrigation infrastructure collecting baseline data for irrigation planning.
• organizing farmers meeting for irrigation technology development training irrigation farmers on suitable scheme management and resources mobilization identifying sites for irrigation technology demonstration plots irrigation for development

Qualifications:

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have; -

• Technician part 111 certificate in any of the following discipline irrigation, irrigation and drainage engineering soil and water engineering, Agricultural Engineering farm power and machinery engineering, processing and structure from a recognized institution Or
• Diploma in any of the following fields: Agricultural engineering, Agricultural and Bio systems Engineering, Soil, water and Environmental Engineering, Environmental and Bio systems engineering, Bio mechanical and processing engineering, soil and water engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
• Certificate in Computer Application Skills from recognized institution
