Shift Production Supervisor at Mr. Green Trading Africa Kenya Ltd

• As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all production operations run effectively and efficiently. You will work closely with Team Leads to ensure the set targets are achieved and that all Safety procedures, operational procedures, systems and principles set by management are followed.

Tasks

• Incharge of Health, Safety and housekeeping at the Factory.
• Supervision of all factory production staff.
• Shift Planning and scheduling.
• Work closely with the Product Quality Control Manager to create and enforce quality control standards, operating procedures and ensure all employees. Perform random Quality-Check visits at all production sites
• Analyze data and devise improvement strategies by keeping a close eye on key metrics.
• Ensure equipment is running at optimal efficiency and that they are well maintained
• Oversee all stock taking exercises within the work area.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting new employees and train new hires on policies and procedures.
• Supervise, monitor and conduct continuous training to the teams to improve performance and undertake performance appraisals.
• Monitor team’s attendance and update attendance records including leave forms and enforce all Human Resource Policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entries, reconciliation and reporting.
• Ensure proper conduct of Product Assistants in supporting casual employees

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor's degree or diploma
• 2+ years of work experience, in a busy manufacturing setup, with more than 100 reportees.
• Ability to lead, motivate and ensure a team performs at its optimum and meet targets.
• Organizational skills including prioritizing, time management, and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
• Proficiency in any ERP system.
• Flexibility to relocate to other Mr. Green Africa locations.
