Software Quality Analyst at BURN

About the Role:

BURN is looking for a Software Quality Analyst, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective quality assurance processes and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Test Planning:

• Collaborate with development and product teams to create comprehensive test plans that align with project requirements.

Test Case Design and Execution:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility.

Defect Identification and Tracking:

• Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug-tracking system. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

Regression Testing:

• Conduct regression testing to validate that software changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.

Automated Testing:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and test coverage.

Performance Testing:

• Perform performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

• Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the QA team.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Quality Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
• Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Knowledge of performance testing and familiarity with tools like JMeter.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
