Sourcing Coordinator - Eastern Region at Mr. Green Trading Africa Kenya Ltd

• The Sourcing Executive will assist the Sourcing Coordinator in managing sourcing operations within the region and will be responsible for coordinating plastic sourcing plastic for the company within their assigned territories.. They will be primarily responsible for Supplier acquisition, supplier retention & relationship management & and retail operations across all channels. The Sourcing Executive will be assigned with a team of clerks(MTP & TP) and Team Leads that they will work with in ensuring that there is a seamless process during execution of their mandate. He/She will be part of a creative team that is deeply passionate about solving problems and ensuring both individual career and business growth is achieved.

Tasks
New Supplier acquisition

• Recruitment of new small, medium & big suppliers with the assigned regions.
• Acquisition of new markets within the assigned region.
• Execution of marketing activities within the region.
• Execution of TP branding and any other strategic location.

Retail Operations

• Performance management & productivity of team and all channels managed.
• Delivery of sourced plastic targets as per briefed product mix per channel.
• Resource management of direct and indirect reports & other company property.
• Oversee daily & monthly stock takes.
• Submission of key reports as required by the line manager.
• Stakeholder management(Internal & External).

Supplier relationship management & Retention

• Offering customer service to suppliers.
• Manage redemption of Loyalty program by suppliers.
• Overseeing Tea Parties.
• Develop new MGA retail buying points within assigned territory.

New Sourcing models

• Identify and onboard new sourcing models such as aggregator model & One stop shop.
• Oversee institutional & Schools plastic sourcing.
• Manage plastic collection from strategic partnerships such as Total , Shell and others.
• Manage all sourcing agents within the assigned region.

Market Intelligence

• Gathering marketing intelligence with regards to competition, market trends, price shifts and any other related activities as and when they occur.

Other Duties

• Zero waste achievement in the assigned region.
• Coordination of transport logistics within the assigned region.
• Coordination of the buying & payment process.
• Maintenance of Trading points and safeguarding of company assets with the region
• Submission of key monthly reports as required by the business.
• Cost management of expenses as per budget.

Requirements
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent qualification
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, formulae, pivot tables, and data visualization.
• 3-5 years experience in managing retail and last mile distribution
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven leadership skills and team management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to collect and report data accurately
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
