Spanish Senior Linguist Translator at TransPerfect

• Position: Spanish Senior Linguist
• 8 hours per day, 5 days a week
• The LP for translation will be mostly EN<>ES, but you might be asked to do some translation and proofreading in Italian
• Subject matters: business content, finance, commercial presentations and corporate communications
• Expected start date: March-April 2025
• The client is looking for a Spanish speaker native with a C2 level in Italian and English

Job description:

• Translate and proofread various types of documents (based on subject matter expertise)
• Ensure translated documents mirror the original source document
• Efficiently maintain formal disciplined operational procedures across variety of client projects
• Understand TransPerfect’s quality standards and make sure that they are upheld to meet the client’s expectations
• Properly utilize all appropriate supplemental materials (refer to client PAQ, reference materials, glossaries, etc.) making sure they are consistent throughout the jobs
• Be responsible for any errors/omissions associated with a project in which the Translator is involved
• Maintain databases and use translation memories
• Juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to organize the daily workload
• Be flexible with changes of priorities
• Complete any other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by a manager/supervisor
• Report to TransPerfect direct manager
• Productivity metric is between 4,000-5,000 words daily

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in target language Italian C2, as well as in English.
• 6 years of experience translating or editing documents
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Experience in several areas (finance, communications, commercial)
• Worked for a big four consulting firm, legal buffets, professional services companies
• Ability to work under pressure, like in any consulting firm
• Open to learn on new technologies
• Ability to work with other teammates.
